Colors Of The Season - Anum Thanvi Sharif

Martini Olive:

Stuffed olives go well with a martini. But this lively green is perfect for a living room. It adds a coziness which can be accented with dark rich colors of chocolate browns. A restful, restorative green that has a lodge, country or traditional feel. It works on all walls or just one accent wall.

Ceylon Yellow:

Ceylon Yellow is “savory and spicy”, not sunshine bright yellow or flashy neon yellow, it's a little more of a muted and exotic type of yellow, making it extremely wearable for every day. This rich silky hue of mustard yellow sits somewhere between the true yellow of gold and the greenish undertones of brass. A PERFECT color for Fall.

Limelight:

Yellow is the brightest color of the visible spectrum, and it is the most noticeable of all colors by the human eye. It means happiness and optimism; it is the color of sun shining, or bright light and creativity. ... It is the color of high energy, enthusiasm, hope, fun, and cheerfulness.

Russet Orange:

A variable color yellower and darker than pumpkin, yellower than a mandarin orange, and redder and deeper than cadmium yellow. Zesty, citrus shades like Pantone Russet Orange feel right for summer, but brown undertones help this hue translate to cooler seasons, too.

Valiant Poppy:

It’s the tinge of red in Valiant Poppy that makes this color bold and exciting for Fall. This coming season, surprisingly bold colors are mixed with pastels that are typically expected in Spring and Summer.

Red Pear:

As the name suggests this mysteriously rich color is a hue “deliciously deep red, whose luscious depth entices”, as described by Pantone. It is a soft yet decadent burgundy with ample cool purplish undertones.

Ultra Violet:

Ultra Violet communicates originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking that points us toward the future. "Ultraviolet" means "beyond violet", violet being the color of the highest frequencies of visible light.

Crocus Purple:

A deep, grayed purple is a welcome to early spring. Crocus are one of the first flowers to bloom each spring and so making it to the Pantone list this season makes a lot of sense.

Quetzal Green:

A deep elegant blue-green hue. In simple words, it’s a mellow version of teal and the name is derived from the Quetzal bird known for its strikingly colored, sexual dimorphisms.

Neubzal Blue:

While Navy Blue is the official choice for the winter season, this year the official color of 2018 is a saturated, intense, blue-tone seen a lot on the runways by Roksanda and Tibi.
